For me, photographers and stylists who twist and threaten the popular feminine 'image' that has been allowed to engross most of the published materiel within big fashion labels are simply incredible. Ellen Von Unwerth is a professional photographer from Germany. She previously was a model herself for ten years and now is distinguished for her common theme of erotic femininity captured in her photographs. Her unapologetic striking images are repeatedly published in renowned fashion magazines such as - Vogue, I-D, & The Face. They embody every feminine grace that a woman holds, while challenging the behaviour that is meant to derive from that. Her recognisable images shock and question common conceptions of femininity, while not straying entirely from being 'graceful'.
